Sophie Thompson wins Best Supporting Actress in a Play...

And the WhatsOnStage Awards are in.... 

Our amazing Sophie Thompson has won Best Supporting Actress in a Play with her stunning role in the production of Present Laughter at the Old Vic Theatre, along side lead Andrew Scott. 

Present Laughter follows the affairs of ageing actor Garry Essendine (Played by Andrew Scott), as he fends off ardent admirers, passionate playwrights and long-suffering secretaries. From writer Noël Coward, and prolific director Matthew Warchus, Sophie plays the role of Monica Reed, one of the many characters tied into Garrys life.
